Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco on a trek through the Azzaden valley, seeing some of Morocco’s most beautiful nature. Admire breathtaking panoramic views and experience the local culture first-hand as you pass by tiny hamlets and villages of the ethnic Berber, a herding and farming community.
Itinerary Details:
• Day 1: Marrakech - ImiOughlad – TiziOussem
After breakfast we transfer by minibus or 4x4 to ImiOughlad, a journey that Takes us from the plains around Marrakech into the heart of the High Atlasrange, After meeting our mules and muleteers team, we start a 5 hour Walk, trek up to the Tacht Pass (2000m) and then descending Into the Azaden Valley, having lunch in ImiNifri, after lunch we continue the walk to TiziOussem a very traditional village, overnight in nice panoramic Berber guest house and good views of the Azzaden, Approx 5hrs walk
• Day 2: TiziOussem – Imlil - Marrakech
After Breakfast, you continue your trek passing junipers forests on the way up to the TiziMzik (2269m); stop for our picnic lunch nearby The AzibBerdoun, and then descend towards Imlil (The small Chamonix town in the Mizane Valley, Imlil is also a major walkers’ base at 1750m. Treks for Toubkal often start here, in the centre of the village.
