Trek from Ouirgane to Valley Assif Izgzaoun in 8 Days

• Day (1) Ouirgane – Valley of Assif Izagzaoun

We start valley of Ouirgane our day hike through different landscapes. Halfway we stop to picnic and we continue our journey to today’s destination: Valley of Assif Izagzaoun at 1800m altitude. We will spend the night in a local family house.Overnight on half-family home.

• Day (2) Trek to TIZGUI Your path takes us out of the Assif Valley and up to

We will start after breakfast our way to Tizgui (1800m) – ascending the summit of Mt. Assaka (2170m) and descend towards the Goudafa (TIZGUI) valley. Lunch-picnic en the pass of Tizi The night we will spending a local house. Overnight on-half-board

• Day (3) trek to Tizi Oussem path takes us out of the (TIZGUI) and up to.

The way from Tizgui to Tizi Oussem leads us to the pass of Tizgui à Azib Assoul (2300m, also We cross the Tizi ‘n Tagoudalte pass (2,700m) from where we have views of the western High Atlas mountain range. We then have a long descent through alpine areas overgrown with wildflowers and herbs, and follow a river past terraced fields and groves of walnut trees, to the village of Tizi Oussem (1,900m).Free afternoon to relax or explore the village. Overnight in a gite.

• Day (4) Trek to AREMD

Trek to a small waterfall at Azib Tamsoulte and return to cross the .Here we change to the Azzaden-Valley, also called the ‘Valley of the 1000 colors’. We Tizi ‘n Mzik pass (2,500m) and then will arrive in Aroumd, our destination of today. Overnight in a gite on half-board.

• Day (5) Imlil1740 – tizi n’tamaterte2250 – Tachdirth 2300

After breakfast we start walking up winding mule tracks to tizi n’ tamaterte (2279m) to enjoy the amazing panorama of the surrounding atlas mountain range peaks and valleys on our way to our picnic spot on the tizi n’tamaterte , overlooking jbel oukaimeden and the beautiful encircled plateau. After lunch set of following the path down to imnane valley intill our gite d’etape in wanskra village . 4 hours walking.

Day 6: Ouanesekra – Tizi n’ou Addi – Oukaïmeden

From Ouanesekra towards Oukaïmeden ski station passing by Tizi n’ou Addi (2,920m) and then on to Oukaïmeden spend the night in the refuge or bivouac (About 5 to 6 hours’ walk).

• Day 7: Oukaïmeden – Tizi n’Ouhattar – Ourika Agounss – Timichchi

Depart Oukaïmeden towards Timichi passing by the Tiferguine labourers then Tizi n’Ouhattar (3,100m). After the col we pass villages of Ourika Agounss, Timguist and Timichchi. We spend the night in a bivouac or Berber gîte (About 6 to 7 hours’ walk).

• Day 8: Timichchi – Chiker – Agadir n’Ait Boulmane- Setti Fatma

Depart Timichchi towards Setti Fatma. All along the journey there are Berber villages in the valley including Tiourdou, Anfli, Tadrart and Chiker. After lunch we continue via Agadir n’Aït Boulmane and on to the centre of Setti Fatma. Then return to Marrakech or visit the waterfall at Setti Fatma if there is time (About 4 to 5 hours’ walk).
